Q1: 010V dimming points and theory?

A: 010V dimming is divided into: 0/1-10V dimming, adjustable resistance dimming.

The dimming theory:
Power supply is designed with a control chip. When connected to the 0-10V or 1-10V dimmer, the output of the 010v dimmable driver will be changed by changing the voltage signal of 0/1-10v, as shown in the following picture: 

Q2: What is the difference between 1-10V and 0-10V?

A：The voltage of the lighting on and off is different. For 1-10V dimming, the dimming signal voltage is darkest at 1V, and the lamp is off between 1V and 0V. If it’s 0-10V dimming, it will still be bright at 1V, until 0V completely off.

Because when the dimmer is at 0V output , if there is an error or there is an induced voltage on the control line, it may not detected 0V at the end of lamp, which will make the lamp not completely off, and there will be power consumption, thus wasting electricity.

Q3：What is the transmission distance of  010V signal?

A：The transmission distance of 0-10V signal is related to the material of the signal line, the wire diameter, the number of connected power supplies and the signal consumption current. It need to specific to consider the actual project, but the signal is driven by electric current, so it is recommended to do a good job of signal line shielding.

Q4：How many dimmable drivers can be connected to the 010v signal dimmer? How many lamps can be connected?

A：These products are signal type products, which are usually used to connect to dimmable driver or our company’s 010V dimming driver.The output signal current of the signal dimmer determines how many dimmable drivers can be connected, and how many lamps can be connected depends on the power of the dimmable driver.

For example, the signal current of the BC-320-010V model is 20mA.If the signal current consumed by the dimmable driver is 1mA, a maximum of 20 pieces dimmable driver can be connected. BC-320-010V signal dimmer only output the 010V signal, and the power of the lamp is provided by the dimmer driver, so it has nothing to do with the signal dimmer.

Q5: 010V signal dimmer application and how to wire?

A：010V signal dimmer is mainly output 010V dimming signal,mostly used for connecting dimmable driver to control high-power lamps. For example, our R1-010V model has a small body, which can be placed in the lamp, including plant lamp, mining lamp, and projection lamp. It also can be connected to our 010V series dimming driver, used in some indoor meeting rooms, house and other places dimming.

Q6: 010V signal dimmer with 0-10V dimmable driver can not be completely turned off, what is the problem?

A:If the cable connection is normal, and the lamp can’t be completely turned off. It is recommended that the signal cable connected to the dimmable driver be disconnected.Then use a multimeter to check whether the 010V dimmer shows a few tenths of volts when it is set to the lowest 0V. If not, the dimmer is normal.It is the residual electricity of the dimmable driver that causes the dimmer to fail to be switched off. It is recommended to try to connect a 1K resistance between 0-10V and GND.
